BridgeCity Soul

Soul Band, Dance Band, Funk Band!

BridgeCity Soul - Soul Band, Dance Band, Funk Band is not just the brainchild of Ramsey Embick but the dream of everyone in the band. Soul and R&B music must rank among the most unique of American musics with its pulsing beat, soul stirring vocals and compelling message! BridgeCity Soul has 6 members all steeped in this idiom.

Timothy Kindell was born in St. Louis, Missouri during the 1960's when the Motown Sound and soul music was taking the world by storm.  Timothy, the middle child of 6 children, would spend his youth playing sports with his brothers and putting together singing groups so that they could perform in local talent shows, churches and local schools.  Music runs in Kindell's blood, his Uncle is Lee Williams of the world renowned gospel group the Highway QC's and his first cousin is Dennis Edwards of the Temptations.  Always a fan of great music, Kindell studied the likes of Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Al Green and Michael Jackson to further craft and hone his sound as a solo performer and musician.

After attending college on a football scholarship, Kindell would go on to start a family where he had 4 children who equally shared his love of the performing arts, sports and music.  After getting his family off the ground in their studies and sports, Kindell would begin live touring again by singing lead for multiple bands through the Northwest while performing at local venues, music festivals, churches, casinos, private corporate events and schools.

Kindell has taken his love for music and shared it with his students as well as he has worked as a teacher for 12 years within the Salem-Keizer Public District.  Every February, Timothy rounds up his students and produces the annual Black History Celebration which features live music, poetry, plays and a tribute to Black-American Culture and Music.

Timothy is known as one of the top live performers in the northwest year in and year out with his energetic, soulful live shows that he puts on every time he hits the stage.
